Welcome to the chapter on Parts of Computer for Class 2. In this chapter, you will learn about the different parts that make up a computer. By the end of this chapter, you will be able to name and identify the main parts of a computer!
Introduction
A computer is made up of many parts. Each part has a special job. Let’s learn about the main parts of a computer.
Main Parts of a Computer
- Monitor: Looks like a TV. It shows pictures, words, and videos.
- Keyboard: Has many keys. We use it to type letters, numbers, and words.
- Mouse: A small device we move with our hand. It helps us click and select things on the screen.
- CPU (Central Processing Unit): The brain of the computer. It controls all the work.
- Speakers: Make sound. We use them to listen to music and other sounds.
- Printer: Prints pictures and words on paper.
How Do These Parts Work Together?
- We type on the keyboard and use the mouse to give instructions.
- The CPU follows these instructions and shows the result on the monitor.
- Speakers let us hear sounds, and printers give us a copy on paper.
Fun Activity: Draw and Label!
Draw a computer and label its parts: monitor, keyboard, mouse, CPU, speakers, and printer.
