By the end of this chapter, you will be able to use these words correctly in sentences!

Introduction

Some words tell us if a person or animal is male (boy) or female (girl). These are called masculine and feminine words. We also use special words to show if we are talking about one thing or more than one thing.

Feminine and Masculine Words

Masculine words are for boys or male animals. Feminine words are for girls or female animals.

  • Boy – Girl
  • Man – Woman

  • King – Queen
  • Lion – Lioness

One and Many (Singular and Plural)

When we talk about one thing, we use the singular form. When we talk about more than one, we use the plural form.
