Introduction

Nouns are naming words. They are the names of people, places, animals, or things. Every sentence has nouns!

Types of Nouns

• Places: school, park, city, home
• Animals: dog, cat, lion, cow
• Things: ball, book, chair, pencil

Examples of Nouns

• The dog runs.
