Sentences and Sentence Sequencing
Welcome to the chapter on Sentences and Sentence Sequencing for Class 7. In this chapter, you will learn what sentences are, how to form correct sentences, and how to arrange sentences in a logical order to make meaningful paragraphs. By the end of this chapter, you will be able to write clear sentences and organize them effectively!
Introduction
Sentences are groups of words that express a complete thought. Sequencing sentences means arranging them in the correct order so that your writing makes sense and tells a clear story or idea.
What is a Sentence?
- A sentence starts with a capital letter.
- It ends with a full stop (.), question mark (?), or exclamation mark (!).

Example: The sun rises in the east.
Types of Sentences

- Interrogative: Asks a question. (Where are you going?)
- Imperative: Gives a command. (Please close the door.)
- Exclamatory: Shows strong feeling. (What a beautiful day!)
Sentence Sequencing
Sequencing means putting sentences in the right order to make a story or paragraph clear and logical.

- Find the sentence that introduces the topic.
- Arrange supporting sentences in a logical order.
- End with a concluding sentence.
